
On May 21st, Hawthorn Students received wonderful recognition at the Bedford Free Library contest. In the “Ages 6-8” category, all three of the prizes were awarded to Hawthorn students in Grade 1! Michael Stack won first prize for his poem, “Between the Rocks”. Adaya Espana won second prize and Mia Araujo won third prize for their poems, both entitled “Little Girl”. In the “Ages 9-12” category, Elisabeth Hutter won First Prize for her poem entitled, “Swimming”, and Reagan Choi won Third Prize for her poem, “A Pencil”.
