Hawthorn students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 enjoyed a nature walk to the Guard Hill Preserve this week. The students in Grades 2-5 enjoyed crisp air, sunny skies, and a picnic lunch as part of their outing. The following day, Kindergarten and 1st grade students had a slightly different experience as they grabbed their rain boots and waterproof layers to brave the wet walk. In the end, all enjoyed discovering this beautiful preserve just down the road from our school.
