His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop emeritus of New York, spent the morning visiting Hawthorn and celebrating Mass.  He was greeted by Hawthorn’s Kindergarten & 1st Grade students who waited for him outside St. Patrick’s Church.  He was the Celebrant for a beautiful Mass where Hawthorn students served as readers and altar servers.  Afterwards, the 4th and 5th grade boys walked Cardinal Dolan back to Hawthorn, where His Excellency was greeted by the beautiful singing voices of the 2nd grade Girls.  Cardinal Dolan then toured the school, stopping at almost every classroom where students shared poems, songs and glimpses into their studies in Literature, Geography, History, Religion, and Art.
