Soccer Club with Mr. Cotaj

Grades 1 & 2

2:45pm - 3:45pm 

Players practice foundational skills such as dribbling, passing, and teamwork through engaging drills and friendly games.  The Soccer Club is coached by Mr. Cotaj, Hawthorn dad, who brings structure and fun to every session.  Mr. Cotaj has a youth coaching license and guides students to build confidence and a love for the game.  All students who join this club are required to bring the following items to weekly practice: cleats, shin guards, and their own soccer ball.  


Soccer (The Luigi Soccer Club) with Ms. Shimansky

Grades 3 to 8

2:45pm - 3:30pm

Players practice foundational skills such as dribbling, passing, and teamwork through engaging drills and friendly games. The Luigi Soccer Club, grades 3 to 8, is coached by Ms. Shimansky, the First Grade Teacher. Ms Shimansky has played soccer leisurely and professionally for 20 years, competing in the CONCACAF league in Central America and the Caribbean, as well as in Europe. She was trained by Seacoast United Soccer Club, Brighton and Hove Albion, and the US Virgin Islands National Team.  All students who join this club are required to bring the following items to weekly practice: cleats, shin guards, and their own soccer ball. The first two weeks will meet at the school in Classroom 7.
