The students at Hawthorn have had the most exciting experience this week of watching baby chicks hatch. They have been monitoring the process of the chicks' growth and development inside the eggs over the past few weeks leading up to hatching day. In a few more days, these fuzzy chicks will be going to live with one of our Hawthorn families, who will raise them to lay eggs. It has been an intriguing nature study experience of the beauty and cycle of life.
