On November 2nd, Hawthorn students celebrated a festival day in honor of All Saints (moved from November 1st due to rain).

After Mass, everyone gathered at the statue of Mary, Queen of All Saints, to hear about the meaning of the day, and to pray a decade of the Rosary. Then the games began, including a one-legged race, obstacle course, thud, and noodle.

After a pizza lunch, everyone assembled for poetry and songs. The competition was lively, and top prizes went to Clara for Robert Frost's "Out, Out" and Adrian for  Alexander's "All Things Bright and Beautiful." The first-place ribbons for the song included Mrs. Andino's class for a  harmonized Dona Nobis Pacem and  Mrs. Mancuso's class for a lovely rendition of Amazing Grace.
