Hawthorn Open House

On Saturday, October 21st many interested families visited the school for our annual fall Open House. Despite the rainy weather, spirits were high as Dr. McCleary welcomed the assembled guests and highlighted what makes the school distinctive: "Hawthorn is a partnership with parents who share the school's ideals of a classical liberal arts education in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Our mission is to encourage the intellectual, moral, physical, and spiritual  maturation of each child in preparation for a life of fully human flourishing."

Following the welcoming remarks and parent ambassador introductions, Hawthorn students recited poetry and sang for the guests before leading them on a comprehensive tour of the school to meet the teachers in their classrooms. The morning concluded with refreshments in the school living room and lively conversation among teachers, parents, and guests.
