On Friday, October 20th the students in grades 3-8 went on a field trip to the Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, NY. While there the students learned about life on the Manor during Colonial times. They took an interactive tour of the mill, manor house, barn, and activity center. They participated in hands-on activities doing colonial tasks such as threshing wheat using a flail.  They also learned about the enslaved people at Philipsburg Manor and their resilience despite facing many hardships. It was a wonderful experience for the students and one that they will always remember.
