On Friday, October 20th, students in grades K-2 enjoyed a visit and presentation from Westchester County Police.

Sergeant Hamborsky and Canine Officer Tierney showed their appreciative audience how they protect and serve the people of New York in their dedicated work as police officers. This work includes rescuing pets, aiding victims of automobile accidents, apprehending criminals, and responding to distress calls. Officer Tierney introduced the children to his partner, Canine Officer Geny, an energetic bloodhound who demonstrated her talents by tracking and finding a hiding Mrs. MacDonald after being given the teacher’s bracelet to sniff!
